Niaouli essential oil is steam distilled from the leaves of an evergreen tree that has a flexible trunk and spongy bark. The tree possess pointed leaves that is further spiked with sessile flower. The oil has wide usage in medical field due to its antiseptic properties and used to treat problems like asthma, bronchitis, coughs, cold, acne, pimples, etc.

History: | Niaouli essential oil was discovered in Europe only after 17th century. Captain Cook is the one, who has given the botanical name to this oil on his way from Australia. However, French still sometimes refer to the oil as "Gomenol." |
