Ginger Oil is extracted root of the perennial Ginger herb. This grows to 3 - 4 feet high (approximately 1 meter) in height and it has an extremely characteristic thick and spreading tuberous rhizome. The root is macerated and then distilled over a very high heat to extract the oil.
